The meeting, which was well attended, heard that 2009 was the year which the organisation stabilised itself and announced a surplus for the year ended of over €92,000 having reported a substantial deficit for 2008.
Commenting on the year and the financial report, Pauric Corrigan, NISO President, stated "while it was a difficult year, many tough decisions were made to ensure the health of the organisation moving forward through 2010 and beyond".
He added that "NISO was now in a much stronger position to provide the best service to members and the wider community".
At an Executive Committee meeting following the AGM, Pauric Corrigan was re-elected President, with Bill Kelly re-elected Vice President, for a two year term.
