Hand Protection Information Seminar

The dexterity and sensitivity of our hands and fingers differentiates us from other creatures. Should you have the full use of your hands and fingers, you know how valuable they are. They are constantly used in the workplace, leisure and socially.  Without your hands or fingers, your ability to work would be greatly diminished.
Employers require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. Employers shall base the selection of the appropriate hand protection on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the task(s) to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified.

Speaker: Stephen Donaghy

Stephen is a specialist in hand protection. He has 25 years experience of working within key industries such as automotive, oil, gas and construction. He has been involved with product development for hand protection with regard to chemical resistance, general purpose, heat and thermal, cold etc. Stephen has worked on new systems with industry to manage reductions of hand injuries through glove audit programmes.
